Hello All,
Ive been searching for a gen2 or gen3 4runner for the past few months without finding what im looking for.
I did come across a '97 with 170k on the clock, v6 and auto with a mild lift.
One real problem though. The owner says the heat doesn't work. I am heading over to check it out this afternoon and I need some advice. Is there any way I can check to make sure there is not a head gasket crack or some major problem that is causing the heat not to function.
I had considered taking over an oil pan and draining/replacing the oil in order to check to see if there is any contamination in there but aside from that what should I do?
What issues could be causing that heat not to work?
Im just trying to find out what to be on the lookout for to make sure im not going to get burned on the deal.
