Newbie looking for ideas

Just bought a 99 limited. Completely stock. Brought her home today. Just looking for people to bounce my mod ideas off of. Let me know what you think good or bad. I appreciate it. And o yeah, this is gonna be my daily driver for the next few years, so any mods have gotta be reliable and affordable. Please nothing to radical.

My thoughts:
1. Clear corner lights, signals, and euro style taillights, plus a set of fogs.
2. Window tint A MUST!!! As dark as possible.
3. Rock sliders. Definitely planning on doing some wheelin, nothing to serious, but I dont want to crack up the running boards. (And their real ugly).
4. POWER!!! Supercharger is on the wishlist, but outside of winning the lottery, way to expensive. K&N intake, exhaust and headers could be in my price range. Anything else I can't think of here?
5. Love the look of the WAAG brush guard (Black) But if I get it is there any way to put some D-rings on it for off road towing?
6. Taillight guards. (Black)
7. Sport hood with the scoop (black) and paint the flares black.
8. Either Tundra/Sequoia split 5-spoke wheels of FJ rims... painted black.
9. Skid plates. I dont even know whats on there now. Havent had a chance to crawl under it yet.
10. Rear disc brake conversion?
11. Billet grille insert. Preferably with no badge, or maybe a gold one.

Thanks again for any help. These are just some things Ive been thinking about. Tell me what you think. lol:dancin:

Sounds like some cool plans! IMO the rear disc brakes aren't worth the $$. Check out the Satoshi mod before you do the Billett grill. You don't ever want to put D-rings on a brush guard! In fact brush guards are weak and kinda lame IMO. Get something that functions AND looks good like an ARB or a Shockworks. Lift and tires would be my 1st mod.

1. Clear corners and turn's yes. Euro tails, no.
2. Window tint, yes. Keep it legal though. Plus it's easier to see at night.
3. Sliders, yes.
4. For power, just to a deckplate mod and be happy. Exhaust isn't going to make lots of power...just lots of noise. Full intakes are overrated. I had a full K&N intake on my 96, and I like the deckplate mod on my 99 better.
5. Brush guard...HUGE NO. :)
6. Taillight guards, no
7. Sport hood.....only if it's color matched. Black with black flares will look quite...um....like you're trying too hard?
8. Tundra/Sequoia wheels, yes.
9. Skids, unnessassary unless you really wheel. The stock skids work fine for normal stuff.
10. Rear disc's, no
11. Billet grille....HELL NO. :)

What I would do, in order:

Remove running boards
Fix/replace front bumper
Lift
Tires (33's if you don't mind the lack of power)
...and Wheels if you got the cash
Tint

Never even heard of the satoshi grille but I like it! Without the TOYOTA spelled out that is. I do really like the the Shrockworks, but its outa my price range, plus I'm not gonna be doing anything were I need something that heavy duty. And again this is gonna be my daily driver for the forseeable future, so a lift I do want to do one eventually but there are other things I would rather do first.

Those of you who got clear lights, have you ever had trouble with moisture getting in? Lots of aftermarket lights are notorious for that.

I have the clear corners and fronts and haven't had any trouble with water. Of course I barely drive the 4R, and rarely in the rain, so my experience probably isn't terribly useful.

I'll put in another vote to forget about the brush guard. It looks like your bumper is already a bit messed up. Might look into one of the nicer replacement bumpers, ARB, Shrockworks, etc. Or get yours fixed and get some shackle hangers from Sonora Steel.

100% bolt on 3/4" Warn Shackle (13047) Hangers

A little spendy, but should be all you need. Plus the front of the car just looks damn cool with shackles on it.

Good luck and congrats on the new ride.
