Newbie needing help hiding wires under dash

Could someone give me suggestions or point me in the right direction. I own a 2005 4Runner Sport and I need help hiding the wire from my Garmin c330 portable nav system under the dash. Right now I have the unit mounted to the window and the cord dangles down to my cigarette lighter. I would like the wire to go through where the window meets the dashboard. Has anyone removed their dashboard? Also, how would I connect it? I'm pretty sure this can be done as I've seen it done with a radar detector on a friend's 4Runner.

Any help is greatly appreciated. The only modding I've done was fixing the cigarette lighter so that it always has power.

I have a Garmin 2720 that I located in the cup holder. By placing it here I needed to use an external antenna which I placed on the dash in the drivers side corner. Can't even see it unless you know its there. What I did to run the wire is remove the intrument cluster and run the wire through the little blank used for the sensor that turns on the lights in the LMT (The plug is a little stubborn because it connects to two layers of plastic but it will come out). I also modified the power cord (Speaker remained) and connected the power to the bottom of the cig lighter in the center consul. I know it not the same but close enough to what you have to hopefully help route you power wire the same way I ran my antenna wire. Check the forum on replacing relay with a jumper in the back of the fuse box to get always on power to the cig circuit.
