Newbie Question HVAC lights

I know this might be a stupid question but its bugging me. The middle know that controls the temp. I see that there is inserts on the up/down temp for what I would assume to light up but I have never seen mine light up. Are they just for show or are mine out?

Yes, they should light up. There is a dial to the left of the steering wheel which changes the intensity of the illumination. Perhaps yours is just turned all the way down? Try turning that dial up and see what happens.

EDIT: wait, I think I mis-understood your question. I think only the AUTO and A/C "arrows" light up when those modes are selected, I have never seen the UP / DOWN arrows light up either. I assumed you meant NONE of that stuff was lighting up, not those two specifically. That sounds normal.

THANK YOU!!! This has bugged me forever but I have just dealt with it because those would be soldered LEDs. Glad to know the UP/DOWN don't light up.
