Please feel free to yell and throw rotten tomatoes if I am posting in the wrong place or asking really dumb questions. I did a search but I couldnt find the answers. I just got a 1st gen 4runner a couple days ago so I could park my other car for the winter. Well, Im in a need of some explaining of everything in here as its my first truck that wasnt just a little dinky putt putt.
There is a button on the dash that says decklamp. It lights up and turns red when I push it but doesnt do anything else. Any Idea what its for?
Whoever had it before broke the starter side of the key cylinder but didnt feel like putting a new key cylinder in. So he wired the starter with a push button. I like the push button aspect of it, but it gives me a hard time starting when its cold. Ive been told its something like not getting a signal back to the ignition to give it more gas. Any idea how to fix that?
None of the lights in the floor console work except the eco/power light. Cant find any blown fuses or bad wiring or bad bulbs.
The rear window only goes up and down with the key. The console button doesnt work.
And a non-electrical question. How does the manual 4 wheel drive work? I know nothing about it whatsoever except you have turn the red thing on the wheels.
