Newbie With A Question.....Please Help!

Hi!
I'm a newbie on here and I was wondering if you guys could help me out with a question that I have.

I am looking to get a 4Runner. I am not quite sure which year or model but I have just a general question.

Do side-impact air bags come in any of the 4runners?
If so which models and year?
Do the come standard or are they an option? If they are standard which year did the start coming a part of the standard package???

I can't talk about States; looks like you can get some sort of special order. In Canada most of the vehicle are already packed with some packages and it's very difficult to get anything that you want and take off something you don't

Where are you from? Different regions of the United States have different packages. Side impact airbags are not 'standard' in all regions. In NY/NJ, you can't get them on the V6 SR5 and V6 Sport. They are an option on the V8 Sport, but kind of hard to find. Every V6 and V8 Limited I have seen around here has come with side impact airbags.

The area that we will be looking in is Phoenix, Arizona. Does anyone know of a site that I would be able to compare the differnt years to find out if any would have the side air bags??

You can try using the Toyota website to build your own 4Runner. Just look through the different trims and see which one offers the side curtain airbags. Toyota usually does not change the packages on the 4Runner (within the same generation). Only 4th generation (2003-current) 4Runners were available with side curtain airbags.

They are a option for all trims around $700. I have an sr5 on order , still have 3 month to wait.
