Newport Beach, CA vacation- fun stuff to do?

Heading to Newport Beach, CA this weekend and was looking for some fun stuff to do with my fiance. Any input?

Are u just staying in Newport or are u going anywhere else in SoCal? Are u keeping it cheap or splurging.....

I used to live in Long Beach which is about a 20-30 minute drive up Hwy 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) from Newport. There is a lot to do in Shoreline Village and you can check out the Queen Mary. 2nd St. in Belmont Shore is cool too.

Not looking to empty my bank account but I'm looking to spend some money. I'm taking the runner over so I'm not worried about driving around either

The weather was kind of $hitty last weekend. I hope you had a good time.

Yea we went last weekend. We went all around and visited all the different beaches- Newport, Laguna, Huntington. We went to Balboa Island, hit LA, etc etc. Made me realize how much I like the beach and miss a bit of overcast weather. AZ just gets too hot for too long for a fair skinned irishman.
