Yeah, will do. I've read that the Grapplers seem to have a weak side wall, and premature tread wear.

Any update on these tires? I'm considering these over Pirelli Scorpion ATRs..National Tire and battery has a Buy One Get One Free offer so at $173/tire it'll be a sweet deal. All i need to do is pay for mounting, balancing and alignment which is what I need anyway so for about $650 it'll be a sweet deal!

Tires are holding up nice have maybe 2500 miles on them, I did add SpiderTrax Spacers since the pic- and love the stance the 4R takes now. People ask me all the time "how do you like them tires". So far so good. (Although I do notice a slight wobble at an acceleration of 50-60 MPH) Can't decipher if its the Spacers or the tire, will keep a close eye though) I did get the blemished SpiderTrax spacers; hopefully that has nothing to do with it..
They are 265/65/17 I have minor rubbing after the spacers; its just the inner plastic well the tires are touching. Easy adjustment.

That's interesting you mention the wobble, I had that happen on my 3rd Gen when I used to accelerate to higher speeds, but I did not have Spidertrax on it. I doubt it has anything to do with those because you bought the "blemished" ones....I don't blame you for making the move on those anyway, haha.
It may have something to do with the balancing of the tires, but what do I know...haha.

True- it has to do with the tires ( I think ) but after 2500 miles; that seems a little soon to have to re-balance them dont you think?
But someone else here commented on Nitto's needing re balanced; is this the case for Nitto?

Does seem a bit soon, IMO, but I've also never ran Nittos before, so I couldn't tell ya....maybe someone else that has run a set for a longer period of time could chime in!
Thats a PITA having to worry about dealing with re-balancing issues on those tires (if that's the case) and especially if that occurs over the life of the tire....I may not consider them in the future if thats the case.

thanks for the update on this...wobbling issue sounds like a pia to deal with if it continues. did you have that issue before you put the spacers on? I had issues like that with hub centric spacers for my aftermarket rims on my Lex GS430.
I might have to reconsider...err...but perhaps someone can spare me the decision if they have a set of 18' limited wheels for sale. :thumb3:

Geez, where were you 2-3 years ago when no one believed me!!! As soon as TG came out, i told folks that the sidewall was weak and thus not a real off-road tire alternative! I had them for a brief time on my G-wagen...and the sidewall was thin!!

I googled the crosstek tires searching more info and found this forum. How many of you guys have purchased them already? Do you recommend them?
I have an '04 sport edition v8 4wd and needin' some new shoes on her. I do mostly street driving and occasionally go off-road if I get the urge to explore an unknown trail. I've got my tire selection down to either the Michelin LTX M/S2 or the Nitto Crosstek.
Any recommendations you could share would be greatly appreciated!

I would agree with you to some extent, I have them in the 265/65/18 size. Pretty good street tire and they look really nice.
They are ok offroad, just ok. I get quite a bit of slippage in most terrain.
That being said I have yet to get stuck anywhere with them. They spin but find enough traction to get me through.
I have 6,000 on mine, rebalanced and rotated at 5K. No real concerns about the treadlife, they seem to be holding up ok and I expect to get 50K or so out of them.
