Lookin to see how the grapplers have performed/held up for any one that has them i am looking at the 265/70r17

I just got a set of the terra grapplers in 265/70/17 installed this past weekend. My top choices were the Nitto Terra Grappler and the General Grabber. I went with Nitto since many reviews I found on the grabber said to rotate them more frequently to prevent abnormal wear and cupping.
Thus far I love the Terra Grapplers. They do awesome in the snow and ice. My VSC and ABS rarely kicks on anymore. I have noticed they clean themselves very well. Previously I was running a dunlop highway all season.
 
My neighbor buys the Terra Grapplers for all his trucks, he doesn't off road that much, but they do they job when he does. They are good A/Ts if you do a lot of on-road driving as most of us do. They will last quite a while too, if I'm not mistaken.

I have the Mud Grapplers on my truck, and I am ususally on pavement, which is a bad combination, since they wear real quick on the road for most people (except jeeps, which are very light). But they are exceptional off-road. The only thing I have heard is some experience some chunking. I wouldn't know, because I'm in Florida, and most of the stuff out here is softer. They are loud, btw.

I think I might try out the Trail Grapplers on my next go around, we'll see.

I have spoken to a guy that said the Dune Grapplers are good on road, but he had never taken them in the sand, so I don't really have much to say other than they look kinda cool.

Those are the only Grapplers I've had and experience with. If you're thinking about getting some, I'd say go for it. You won't regret it.
 
I love mine! Went up to the local mountains and held up very well! Very pleased with their performance.

I bought a set for my 3rd gen back in '05 and got about 45k from them and they performed very well in the dry and wet and no issues off road either.

the Nittos have a bit better dry grip and cornering is a bit tighter due to the Nittos I had were D load range. In the wet it's a wash (ha!) as both are pretty comparable. In the snow the Duratracs are a bit better due to wider water evacuation channels and finally off road the Goodyears are a bit more rugged and slightly better suited for rubbing on the rocks but the Nittos never let me down either.

Nittos are a great DD tire with the occasional off road excursion not being an issue and their price is right.
 
both sides are black.

but you get to choose which side tho because one side is like outlined, and the other is what the picture is where the font is solid. if that makes sense. i couldnt find a picture of it with google.
 
nitto is a pretty solid tire brand. and the terra grappler is an awesome tire IMO. i was going with the BFG A/T at first but decided to get the NTG's because something about them made me want em. i have them right now in the 265/75/16 size load range E. very little highway noise and they've been doing good so far. about 1k miles so far
 
Seems like a great tire but won't know for sure till the OP gets a set.

OP, did you get em yet? I'm also interested in knowing how they fare for you. But just so you know they come in P & LT rated.
 
over 30k on mine. They look great, have no uneven wear, and ride as smooth as the day I got them. I have been VERY careful about rotations and air pressure. I have always been a Michelin advocate, but these Nitto's convinced me that they are just as good. They will be my next tire too.

Just curious, when u changed out from your original tires was there any damage to the wheels ?
 
What tire pressures are you guys running. I've been trying out between 34-36psi. I don't want to trash them either. I've only had them a week or so. Trying to get the feel for them.

Konig Replicas with rays decals, I figured I'd save a few grand with the stickers. LOL! Although I still fool some tuners :hiding: I also didnt feel as bad after scraping them on a few rocks. I couldnt justify buying authentic TE37 and taking our trucks off road.

My rims and coilovers and giant turbo are pretty but I'd rather see red hot
Brake rotors and glowing orange turbos and flames out of the pipe. All while having fun. I'm sure
My volks will get wrecked but that's why they're for. Already has a small rock ding. Ooooffff but then why did I buy them. I also think they are way lighter than stock and might have gained 1-2

That's just me though. I live by the you want to play you gotta pay.
Experience working at a speed shop showed me this. Skimp on the build and your paying for the flatbed later. B
