Nitto Terra Grappler 285x60x18"

I just received via UPS my Nitto Terra Grapplers' 285x60x18" from tire direct, man they look huge? I am wondering now is they will fit on my truck........anybody out there have those with the OEM wheels? Now I am only waiting for my cornfed 3" lift kit from Jason @ Burtman Industries to get the lift and the new Nitto's installed and find out once and for all if they will fit without rubbing............

If anyone out there with same set up please chime in....

Man, I am VERY interested in seeing how this works out for you. Make sure to take plenty of pics!! I asked about this same tire in this thread about 18" tires: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27092

The recommended rim size for that tire is 8"+ and the oem rim is 7.5". I still have heard from anyone if that would be an issue or not? If they will fit on the rim, they are just a little bit wider than most 285s so it should be close. Get that camera ready, I am eagerly waiting to see how it works for you. Good luck!

Yes, I noticed on the tire stickers that the recommended width is 8 - 10" I am not an expert on this but I think they should fit on my OEM rims. Will know for sure soon enough.

They should fit on your rims but then the issue will be fitting the wheels on your Runner. I had to get aftermarket rims with a width of 8.5 in order to alleviate all the rubbing and was told this was because of the factory rims had a positive offset while the aftermarket were negative offset. I also did a bit of cutting on the inside wheel well near the driver door but they still rub a bit when turning in reverse.

Keep us updated. I was just looking at these as an option for new shoes on my factory wheels. Not planning on any lift.

The tire size calc only shows .4 inches larger in diameter.

Dang I sure hope they fit for you. Having 18" wheels is nice, but tire selection sucks.
