No GAS?

Every now and then I notice this one thing....sometimes, when I press the gas pedal, it feels that it doesnt want to take any in...like...when trying to make a quick start, it takes its time, even though it is almost pushed to the floor...but it only takes its time up to about 2800 rpms. Up to that point, its like any other takeoff.
ANyone else experience this with a 1998? Maybe my fuel injector needs that cleaning solution that I'm SUPPOSED to put in once a month? It seems that no matter how hard i push the gas pedal down...It takes the same amount of time to get to 2800. THanks

mine does that too. It's not a hotrod unless you get a supercharger.
It takes a little time for the engine to rev up to peak power.

Sounds normal since the low end on the tranny is geared for torque and doesn't accelerate well but once it's going it's more than adequate.
