Or maybe there's a difference between making inferences because of ethnicity, and making inferences because of facts that have nothing to do with ethnicity at all. Take this set - "people who riot because they share an ethnicity with a goof that got himself shot doing stupid shit during a riot". You don't think it's fair to assume that the majority of that set of people are probably undereducated and underemployed?
There are absolutely problems with ethnic prejudice in this country, and all colors are guilty of it. Playing the "race" card to make yourself feel righteous or win an argument makes those problems worse. It's like crying wolf - save it for when it's appropriate, please.

it is not fair to assume that on the protestors nor the rioters. Just because someone riots doesnt mean they dont have a job etc. It means there a dumbass who doesn't know how to act and went along with mob mentality. Are the rioters idiots yes, is there any sense in destroying your own community no, but we dont have to throw racial slurs around . When people riot after a superbowl or similar event, we dont say oh they must not have jobs, must be drug dealers, must be on welfare etc. Idiots come in all colors, social backgrounds, from all classes of wealth.

I know I'm a redneck, I embrace it every day. I drive a beat up rusty truck, I have a lot of guns, motorcycles, and I'm usually wearing flannel and work boots. Nothing wrong with embracing who you are.
But guess what. I don't get government assistance, I typically work 50 hours a week, I don't have a criminal record, and I fully understand my own decisions have direct consequences with where I'm at in life. Not somebody else's.

But whatever helps you sleep at night.....
