So here I am:
I started out with an 1986 4runner

I ended up blowing the motor up in a hole at the Redneck Yacht club, but the stubborn 22re drove me 150 miles home on 3 cylinders. So the 86 is on hold, I am thinking diesel conversion.

Then I needed to get a bigger, more practical family vehicle. Here came the 97 limited:
the day of purchase

some woods riding

and already did the LED dash :banana:

I more than know my way around a motor. Now a water hole, that is another story. Sinking the front end in what looked like a shallow crossing equals no bueno. Pulled the plugs, spat the water out and cleaned out the mud, fired it up with it knocking. The ole' 22RE got me home though. Reliable motors, piss poor on performance. Other than that I love my '86 and miss driving it. I saved her from a junkyard, so alot of parts were missing and whoever took care of her prior was with a treatment that is less than desirable.
