No more front mudflaps...any other protection?

Lifted my 4Runner in August and had to remove my front mudflaps because they were rubbing badly. I'm concerned about the inner part where the front mudflaps were protecting, I also think it looks bad with what you can see. Besides an appearance factor, now that this area is exposed, I don't want the truck to start getting messed up there (especially with winter coming).

I know many people have lifted 4R's on here that probably had to also remove their front mudflaps, so is there anything out there I can buy or rig up to protect there?

What part specifically are you worried about messing up? The biggest down side to running without mudflaps is that more things can be kicked up on the side of your car.

As you run bigger tires you will actually need to trim the metal body mount that was behind that mud flap as well as the rear part of the fender. I would not be too worried about it being damaged.

I have cut up my entire wheel bay. There is practically nothing left. I also removed all the mud flaps. Are you talking about the inner fender?? I have a bunch of picts of what I cut up http://site.absoluters.com:8000/Personal/4Runner.html

Ill post some more if you want specific angles or such. But I have yet to have any problem with such a setup. I had to cut it all due to 305/70/R16

Sorry for the bad explanation, yes I'm talking about the inner fender. It was trimmed a little bit, the triangle had to be cut. It looks fine. My issue is that all of this is exposed now and to me, looks not great and I really don't want it getting crappy looking over time/abuse:

Good to hear no one is having issues, I just really would hate for it to look beat up in there since it's all exposed now. It isn't a big deal really, was just wondering if this bothered anyone else to the point they made some kind of protective piece in place of the front mudflaps.

You could trim/cut your mud flap to fit right on that part of the fender flair
