No power to factory trailer plug

I have an 06 with the factory towing class 3 hitch. The positive terminal on the plug is not getting any power, I have checked the fuses under the hood and they are all good. Lights on the trailer work but the onboard battery will not charge. is there a hidden inline fuse for the direct power? Or what else should I be checking?

How about the converter in the trailer? Try this board - RV. Lots of help form very good people on all things RV!

There is a fuse in the connection box but its good, this is just a 20' enclosed car hauler.

I have hooked up a test light to the plug on the truck and with the key on, dont have any power on the terminal that says battery on the plug.

About 6"-8" of wire up from the plug is a union. That's where the plugs' wire joins to the wiring of the vehicle. At hitch install perhaps this plug wasn't re-installed properly.
