No Power to Tailgate Wiper & Window

my 03 V8 4Runner 212K was in the shop for Rack & Pinion replacement. When I got it back , i noticed my radio memory was cleared out. Maybe they disconnected the battery during service?

I went to lower the tailgate window and nothing. Rear wiper is dead too. But, the tailgate latch is working, it has power....

Is there a fuse specifically for the Tailgate/Wiper? In the past, I've done work on my tailgate and lost power to all components, and was able to fix by reseting the ECU in the tailgate..

But this time its just the Window & Wiper...so I'm thinking fuse???

Hmm ... maybe two separate issues ...

If you push in the window lock switch on the driver’s door, the back window cannot be operated.

If the back window is not fully closed, the back window wiper, washer and defogger will not work.

I had the same issue recently. Turn your key to the on position then hold the back window switch up for 15 seconds then down for 15 seconds. Then start your car and see if things work.

It helped me.

LMAO- Um.. yeah that was it....the window lock switch was in the "on" position...

Crisis averted... I was about to start ripping the tailgate apart looking for fuses....

Just for future reference, there's no fuses back there. There's only two locations for fuses in the entire vehicle:

1) In the engine bay, right behind the battery
2) By the driver's left knee when you're sitting in the driver's seat
