No running boards, more rock chips?

A question before I remove mine, For those of you that have removed them, do you notice alot more rock chips from the front tires kicking up road debris? My truck is black and they will eventually come off anyway when the susp. mods start but I'd hate to accumulate a ton of chips while my wife is driving it. A side note, it's a limited and dose have the cladding so at least the chips won't be hitting metal. Thanks.

If you dont have mud flaps you can almost guarantee more rocks chips and road grime coming up the side more!

Even w/the front mudflaps you won't have as much protection from rocks and stuff as with the running board. I just took my running boards off and added the front mud flaps and it looks great. I wish I woulda done it sooner. IMO it just seems more aggressive.

Loose the running boards. My rig is black also and has never had running boards. With 80k miles I have virtually no rock chips or similar.
I have 265/70 tires and those thin wheel arch trim things, you can see the splash marks that the doors get.
