Can someone who has taken off the running boards on their 4th gen please post a pic? I am thinking of doing it, but would like to see the final result first. Thanks!!

sibanez - how much lift and what size tires are on your 4runner? looks great!

I'm running about 3 inches up front and 2 3/4 in the rear. The tires are Nitto Terragrapplers at 265.70.17.

The lift setup is Downey coilovers up front and the OME medium spring/shock combo in the rear

Thats the first thing I did when I got mine was take off the boards. Looks better and doesn't get my pant legs dirty when I go into work! Took under 30 minutes to do. Just crawl under, loosen the bolts and they're off! Plus a tip I heard if you ever go off roading is you should remove them cause if you bottom out on a rock or hill they can jam into your door jambs and jam you in... *jam on*

I have been wanting to do this for sometime now, looking at the pictures pushed me over. I'm doing this next weekend...:biggrin2:

I did'nt have running boards , but tube steps on my 06 sport , just took them off this afternoon. Took about a half hour and can always put them back on just as easy.

Looks better IMO.

Anyone have some before and after (or just after) pictures of a 2nd generation without the running boards? Mine don't get in the way, but all suvs look more trucklike if you take the boards off.
