No Spark!

I swapped a 94 motor in my 90. I have the old coil and new dist. The old coil wire doesn't work with the new dist. If I buy a coil wire for the new dist. is it going to fit the old coil?

i am in the middle of the same swap the distributor is differnet i am going to use the old dis. from the 90 i hope it works. i know that the gaskets are different but just with a dry fit the gears look about the same. so lf anyone can give us anyone information we will be greatfull. hope we can get this done

I GOT IT TO START AND DROVE IT TODAY! Drank a beer right after! However it doesn't shift now..... Checked tranny fuild and level is fine. It hasn't run for about a year or so and every is like, "I can't believe it's running! OMG." So I keep saying' "Was there every any doubt?" Almost every1 replies "YES!" I respond :infidel:

Changed all fuilds before it was started and added some fuel system cleaner. It smoked for a little bit scared me there was a HG leak. Checked all the new fluids and everything was clean. Just bad gas I think. Mixed it in with some new gas. Has a full tank. Had a 1/4 tank of bad gas. Added 10 gallons. I want to adjust the shift linkage a bit because it's hard to get it in park.

O sorry I forgot I got the old coil wire to work. I just squeezed the thing onto the new dist. NP. Runs so freaking good now just needs to shift. 4x4 Engages My poor lawn........

one question for you did you use the dist. off of the 90 or off of the 94. I know the 94 has a different wiring clip but i didnt know if you could use it.

Used the New Dist. 94! Cut the wires on old harness solder in the new connection. Cut and solder 1 wire at a time. Heat shrink and you're done!

BTW You are going to have to do this to the entire wire harness. DOH!

most of the part i am going to use the parts off of the 90 such as the injectors i was told that it will work if not i will get the soldering iron and go to town. is the color of the wires on the dist the same or do i need to get a wiring diagram for both of them

All the wires are the same. It's easy just very time consuming.
