No Sport Edition?

Okay....I'm a little slow. I just caught on that there will be no Sport Edition.
I'm not familiar with every single vehicle Toyota sells, but most of the one's I've seen have a Sport Edition.

My wife recently got a RAV4 Sport. The only reason she got the SE was for the dark interior.

We personally hate the standard interior colors offerred by Toyota. I've never liked any shade of Tan, and I don't like the light grey (shows dirt, etc.). I love dark interiors.

Some people are not picky about the interior color of their vehicles, but interior color alone can be deal-breaker for me.

Toyota, are you listening?

Based on the photos, it looks like Toyota will offer a black leather interior. Not sure if there will be a black cloth interior as well.

Personally, I don't like black interiors. For some reason, it just looks cheap, particularly when the entire interior is solid black.

Maybe the Trail Edition will be a good substitute for the Sport Edition.

What's weird...when choosing my 2007 4Runner, I didn't want the Sport Edition because of the black seats.

Oh man...was that a mistake. :ybrick:

If I did it all over again...get at least the Sport Edition & pull the XREAS.

Or get the Limited Edition & get the Sport Edition wheels, so I have more tire choices.

I so hate the SR5 & hate Toyota for all the chrome crap & black mirrors.

Yes Jim I agree. I like the dark blue or Gray interior that Toyota use to offer in the late 80's early 90's.

Basically Toyota has either has light gray or Taupe (tan or beige)

I could swear though from the car an driver spy shots it looks like interior blue is making a comeback. Atleast the steering wheel was in dark blue and so I would imagine the dash seats and carpet were also

That's what black leather looks like when you take photos of it -- I'm sure there's a way photographers make it look good when they do the PR photos.

I have some photos of the '10 RX that I took at our local auto show. The black leather looks navy blue in some sections, black in others (probably differences in materials -- such as the true leather sections and the vinyl trim).

I want a nice beige leather interior with the grey exterior...

I don't like black interiors because they are too hot in the summer (besides looking like a dungeon). I'm hoping there will be a leather interior offered which is not black.

Glad Toyota is offering black leather for the 5th, should've done that for the 4th as well. Black lower half with gray above the belt line (windows and above and headliner) would be perfect.

I don't prefer black interiors either (does Toyota offer any model with a black interior?). But I do like the dark charcoal interiors offered in most of their SE vehicles.

I really like European interiors....a lot of which are very dark. To me, dark interiors are rich/sporty looking.

The standard Toyota interior colors of tan/light grey seem to show the dirt easily....they never seem clean.

They need to offer a variety of interior shades for the variety of tastes of potential buyers. I just wish Toyota will continue to offer darker interior choices.

My '04 Camry has black leather, dash, door panels and carpet stock (SE trim). Everything above the windows are a light gray. I think it's a good combo for a black interior. What I don't like is Toyota tend to color the dash to a shade of the leather. I wish they keep it like 4th gen Supra, the dash is always black, the beige interior only changes the seats and carpet.

A problem with black leather is the wear wrinkles show a lot easier than lighter colors. But my Camry has close to 50k where as my 4R has half that. However, on my uncle's '02 Oddyssey (same mileage) with gray leather the wear wrinkles don't look any better than my Camry's. I think perforated leather is the best, it doesn't show the stretching as badly as regular leather.
