My 97 SR5 has a sunroof and I love the shit out of it. I use it all the time, ok I'm lying. I live in WI and its only nice here like 5 months out of the year...

My father is the silver one, It's a 2000 limited 4x4 with e-locker and no sunroof. Can also see the limited badge on the pillars.

My 97 SR5 has a sun roof and manual transmission. No locker though :/

99 Base - no sunroof. My last 2 DD had sunroofs & I never use them. Too much wind noise for listening to music, too much sun in your eyes. The drains clog up & you can get water inside. I'd rather keep all 5 windows open for circulation.

96 SR5 no sunroof here. I like the head room and I agree with all sunroof grievances previously posted. Sun makes you too hot, they're too loud and cut down on head room.

I’ve got a sunroof on mine, but I’ve also noticed that I also seem to have a trim package that I’ve never seen on another 4R. So I’m guessing mine was fairly custom when purchased originally.

I have a black 98 Limited with the sunroof. Mostly use it mornings and evenings. During the day I like all windows down including tailgate glass and sunroof closed. Cool and breezy like a safari mobile.

In my opinion, the sunroof was the most useless feature to ever be on any car I have owned. I know this is a bold statement But I see absolutely no use for it. If you have A/C... why open it? My Limited of course comes with it and the OEM guard that prevents draft. I recently had to do a sunroof drain cleaning because I noticed the entire driver's side floor area was soaking wet after a rain storm. They look cool and are fun to play with but In reality, I prefer the extra headroom and less maintenance. Plus it should make your car lighter if you do not have one plus the aforementioned extra heating that the gap in the roof creates. It is like a Christmas ornament... I can stare at it, admire it, but has no practical use for me.

However if someone could give me more advice on how I can best utilize this feature as opening it creates more noise and I have a working A/C... lol

The way I use it the most is to let more light in while not necessarily opening it. But I live in western Washington where sunlight is a bit of a rarity. A bit different in Florida.
