No throttle response after head job

Hey guys, i'm new here. I have a customers 92 4Runner and i just performed a complete head overhaul. Now that its all bolted back together it fires and and idles alright, but when I step on the throttle not a damn thing changes. Thought it might 've been the cable but when i manually open the butterfly no change in engine RPM. thats friggin weird. ANy ideas???
No check engine light on and it ran before the head job (or so he claims, but i'm startin to doubt his validity)

I had a bad ignition coil once and in this case the engine would not rev above 700 RPM.

Solved it. Still a mystery as to why it did that. But I took the intake pipe off and inspected the TB, a TON of oil in it, but thats what those POS's do. Anyways put it back together, fired it up, and it accelerates fine now.
Finally shipping it to the customer....aaaaah, i hate 4Runners
