I just got my car back from the body shop (rear tailgate dent) and now with the radio on, the volume knob and steering wheel controls will not turn the volume up at all. The volume scale of numbers on the display isn't present at all. It is completely silent. The display switches between radio, cd just fine with no error codes.
I called the body shop and they stated that they didn't disconnect anything except the main battery while working on the car.
Does anyone know why this happens and where I should start in testing circuits? I'm fairly handy with a multimeter, I just don't know what the usual suspect would be in this case. Is there a radio code to unlock the radio or is this hardware related? Thanks.
