Noise coming from the under carriage

Ok guys, So I get home today and when I was parked in the garage and had the engine running I noticed the strange noise that was never there before. Here is the link to the video that I shot with the noise. When the car is turned on you can hear it as the high pitch whine. When the car is just turned off you can hear it whining towards the end of the video then it goes away. I want to know what it is and if/what I can do to fix it, because it was never there before. Should I worry too much about it? I just want it gone. Thanks for the input fellas!

Jesus my ears. You're talking about that electric sounding noise, right?
 
HAHAA, Sorry, but yes that electric sounding noise. It was never there before. Just started today. What could it be?
 
It sounds like it could be a multitude of things. Try checking the drive belts, and all the items they control. Also don't forget the fan clutch bracket bearing.

Buy a $12 mechanic's stethoscope and see if you can narrow down the problem that way first.
 
At first I thought the noise was coming from the engine bay, but when I popped the hood, there were no signs of the belts making the noise or any of the pullies. If you listen at the end of the video, once I turn off the engine, you can still hear it like its still working and they a few seconds after the motor is off, it shuts off.

Now, when your inside the cabin, and you shut the motor off, you could hear some sort of disengaging that is normal sort of like the system is checking to make sure everything is ok to be turned off. The noise seems like its coming from that.

Could it be the fuel pump? Also, where is the fuel pump located? I looked under today and its coming from the center of the truck and towards the back. I had it running and crawled under to try to locate it, but its tough with the exhust.

If I knew where the fuel pump was located I could check to see if it is that.

yup, thanks, but do you think my problem is the fuel pump? when the motor is shut off there is a clicking by the fuse box panel on the left side of the sterring wheel when all system shuts down. Is that normal? Have any of you noticed it before?
 
I am not a mechanic. I mentioned the fuel pump as a possible cause only by experience on a Chevy product I once owned. On the Chevy, I heard the high piched whinning, and as luck had it, it failed in my garage. Not trying to send you on a wild goose chase, just offering another opinion. My Dakota 4x4's fuel pump comes on when I turn the key to accessory and I can hear the pump with my windows down. As you stated, it's not the belts or motor. Try the key to accessory position, with windows down in a quiet place, a garage is best, may be you can pinpoint the noise from there.

X 2 on fuel pump

turning the key on, (but not starting the car) turns the fuel pump on, it should run for 3 secconds or so.
