Noisy Downhill Assist

Hey all!

First post here! Got a quick question.

I test drove a beautiful 06 Sport Edition just the other day... White, 63k miles, everything but nav & sunroof as far as I can tell. They're asking $17k.

Absolutely LOVED it, but as the DAS system activated, it was VERY noisy each time the system activated while going down the hill... I'm not sure if this is normal or what, but it sounded like ABS on steroids... almost like it was grinding gears.

Any insight?

I think that's normal, mine does the same thing.

I'd imagine it's pretty noisy, though I have no experience with it since I have a 2WD. Probably normal. I'm sure some more people can confirm.

Very Normal...though I have always found it odd that the noise is amplified in the passenger cabin. If you are outside it's barely noticeable.
