Nokian WR Tires

I've been researching the best all season tires for my T4R, and I'm very interested in the Nokian WR SUVs. They are one of the few non-studded all season tires with the snowflake rating for severe winter conditions.
I had my old Volvo for 23 years, and the best, by far, dedicated winter tires ever on it were studded Nokian Hakkapeliittas, better than Blizzaks.
I searched this forum and a few threads speculated about getting the Nokian WRs for their 4Runner, but no one here has actually reported using them on their 4Runner.
So I'm asking for an update....has anyone here actually put them on their 4Runner and tested them on winter and summer roads and off-road?
I'm thinking the WRs just might be better than the highly-praised Revos for all year Alaska conditions.

I don't know about the WRs, but I've been running the Hak SUV (non-studded) for a couple months now and they are great. Lots of grip on snow, loose and packed. Haven't had them on ice too much so can't really say how they handle there. I also have the Hak LTs on my work truck and they're good too, pricier than the SUVs though.

I guess it depends on wether or not you plan on switching your tires out in the summer (I do). You would probably get more life out of the WR than some of the other dedicated winter tires.

I switched this post over to "General Discussions'' forum because it was getting almost no views here, and I think it's important if some significant new tire technology has been developed, and not many of the regular and veteran posters here are aware of it.

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger and buy a set of Nokian WR's, especially if I can sell my OEM Dunlops.

They look good to me although I personally would go to a more aggressive tire , but really depends on your driving and what you want to do with the truck.

See if they will take the Dunlops in on a trade and give you a few bucks for them , they are hard to sell. Also the size is goofy on the 4R with the 265/65/17. I went up to 265/70/17 and like the more beefier look.

One other thing you should do if you change tire sizes , because it is a full time 4x4 you should keep your spare the same size as the other tires. I changed all 5 on mine.

I traded my Dunlops in the same day I got the truck and they gave me $50 each , for them so I basically got $250 off the Revo bottom line.
