Non-Name Brand DVD In-Dash Players

Is there any way to bypass the parking brake feature on these? I was told that if you ground the parking brake wire it wouldn't work. What can I do so I can bypass this thing? thanks

What brand? It depends. I've got mine grounded and it works fine.
