Noob Air filter question

So I was looking in my 4runner its a 94 5spd manual and I am missing the piece that goes from the grill to the air filter assembly. I know what the air intake hose looks like and I know what the air filter is but I cant for the life of me find anywhere whats in front of it. here is a link of what it is. Its numbers 6 and 7. Hopefully the link works. it wont let me copy and paste.

We cant see pictures on your computer. Try uploading them to photobucket then sharing them.

Your air box is complete right? Your just missing the "air funnel"? If so, you dont need that piece, having it removed isnt affecting anything

the picture was just a diagram i found online of how the air filter and surrounding pieces are set up. it wasnt important. As for the "air funnel" idk if that is the technical term but my air box is getting slights amount of water in it from mudding and having the water splash into it. I just want something that can connect those pieces so that its a little more protected. I know perfomance wise it isnt a big deal more just a personal issue. Any suggestions on how to fix? maybe just getting a hose connector like you would use for a RV. they are about the same size but idk if it needs to be heat resistant or anything. thanks for replies.
