Hey everyone,
I just got registered up on here, and am psyched about learning about my 1995 4Runner. Ill post up pics when I get some tomorrow, but i'll go a little into my story.
I served in the military for 7 years, throughout my time I went through 2 subarus (2004 wrx, 2013 sti), and because of a change of times I ended up getting a 2013 tacoma. It was hooked up, but by this time I had transitioned out of the military and wasn't going to be able to afford the tacoma for much longer, so I sold it to carmax, and got the stereo system out of it (two 12" JL subs in a custom box, and 2 JL amps), and ended up saving some cash to purchase a 1995 4WD Manual 4Runner with a sunroof. It's green.... Before I purchased it I had my friend, who's a mechanic look it over, and he said everything looked solid, but there was just a minor oil leak off of the right side of the exhaust manifold (I believe?), so he quoted me $280 to fix it and replace the rubber gaskets on the right and left side (since the oil will eventually eat away at any rubber). But other than that it drives very straight, and is a solid runner that I forward to driving for years to come. Mileage is 112K. The owner replaced pretty much everything (seals and gaskets, timing belt, water pump, clutch, some other parts that I can't remember), but it drives like a brand new truck (for a 1995), and that's pretty much it. Like I said ill have pictures up tomorrow, but I just wanted to introduce myself to the 4runner community. I know these forums are gold, and filled with tons of information as I had been involved with the subie forums and did a lot of DIY stuff from what I learned off the forums, and I know that looking through this forum there are tons of knowledgeable people here to help, so I look forward to getting to know everyone.
