noob question on OME OLD MAN EMU 884

So I'm looking at this OME OLD MAN EMU 884 that I wanna buy. Its a 3in lift for 4gen 4runner/tacoma . I read something that the 884 is for the v6 and 885 was better for v8 4runners. Is that true? Would it still be a nice ride if I do decide to get it. Or should I just wait and get a cheap spacer kit with 5100's and fj or other springs? The OME kit is only for 250 and that's for the fronts and rears. Would I need to buy anything else if I wanna run this kit? Like upper control arms? Diff drop?
Or a spacer up front since I have a V8 so it levels out?

OME 884 & 885 are the same rate, 885 is 10mm longer. You make no mention of what shock you will use with the OME springs. If that $250 includes shocks with the 884's it sounds like a good deal. You could add a wheelers 1/4" poly spacer on the 884 to give you ~3" front.

I have the 884's in my truck with the V8 and Shrockworks bumper. No problems, no rake, rides great on and off road. I have OME shocks though I don't recall which ones.

Chris - this makes me wonder if the OME front shock spring perch is positioned higher than the bilstein.

I have no idea Eric. The springs were installed when I bought it with the Xreas which was pretty much dead so I just replaced the shocks. Never even considered anything other than OME since I'm a fan of their stuff. I never understand the mix & match people do when there's a nicely designed system like OME that has different springs & shocks depending on one's needs.

Thanks for the replies. Btw, the deal was just for the coil springs.
