Noobie here!! Hving a prblm need help please

Hello, new guy here. Just bought a 92 SR5, and other than the expected problems every thing seems to be in fairly good condition.
Here's the problem that I have run into. The previous owner had hacked the wiring harness for the radio, now I was lucky enough to still have the factory plug, so after a little time I had restored all the wires back to where they should be.
I got a harness for the aftermarket head unit my 92 came with, and the radio worked fine......except now I have NO dash lights!!! All the fuses are fine. Not sure if there is a relay for them(or where it might be located?), and there was one wire left over from when I put the factory harness back together (white w/ grn stripe) that i think was wired into the previous hack job?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance!!!

Oh I did do a search thru several forums and didn't get anything that dealt w/ my problem. Thanks Again!!

Does the radio light come on?

Yes, the stereo works fine, all the other interior lights(dome,doors) work fine as well.

Two of the wires in the factory harness are for illumination of the factory stereo so that the factory stereo illumination dims with the dimmer adjustment for the panel lights. You may have grounded one of those wires when you hooked up the new stereo unit. You really need a wiring diagram of the factory harness.
