Headed up to Bothe-Napa Campgrounds in a few weeks for a quick two night stay. It’s a little over an hour away so it’s easy. It’s a very developed campground-has water, flushing toilets and showers. Nice. Last time we were there, there was a burn restriction in place. Fortunately we just bought our propane fire pit.

Hey! It does say CAMPGROUND on the sign! Lol! It’s very civilized camping I will give you that. And you have to cut us some slack as we did do a week of dispersed camping in Death Valley back in January. With temps down into the low thirties and howling winds. Protected only by a thin layer of nylon from our $99 Coleman tent. None of that sissy $5k rooftop tent or sleeping in our 4R! Hahaha!

It sure has. I think part of it is that the torrential rains we’ve had here in CA have closed down a lot of trails. I know that several in Death Valley were closed after last August’s flooding. The floods in Jan/Feb/Mar didn’t help.
Although my latest trip this past week can’t even be called wheeling as we never went off paved roads and it was camping lite, I still posted about going.
