There's a Prentice cooper/ coppinger cove/ big fork mashup trip the last weekend in May! Titan Offroad is hosting the PC and CC. North Georgia Daily Driver's is doing PC and BF. If anyone is interested, I'll find the links again.

I went with my club on a ride at Coppenger Cove and it was great. A couple of deep water crossings and a lot of rocks all done in a 94 PU with 31" mud tires and a locker up front with little to no trouble. We ended up at a tiny little church in the middle of no where.

Kyle, Hale Mountain is 54 miles from Decatur at just over an hour so it should be less than an hour for you. For the most part it's Winchester Road till you get to Tn then you come back into Al, it's really not a bad drive.
