North American Built 4Runners?

Hey guys,

I was talking to a Toyota mechanic who has claimed he has seen 4Runners that were built in North America (as opposed to Japan). I am assumed he was confused, he may have seen a Brazilian model. According to wiki:

All 4Runners have been built at Toyota's Tahara plant at Tahara, Aichi, Japan, or at Hino Motors' Hamura, Japan plant, and in Brazil.

Has anyone else heard of 4Runners that were produced in North America?
