Northern MN Trail Ride

Hi everyone. Here are a few pics of my first time trail-riding (first time in the drivers seat anyways).. This is in northern Minneosta. Easy trails for most of you I'm sure, but was still loads of fun for my buddy and I.

nice pics! Looks like a lot of fun! Any idea how to clean up under the hood after some off road ride? mine is so dusty after my 1st off road ride last weekend.

for engine cleaning, it seems the consensus is mild cleaner, low-pressure hose, and then armor-all or rubber/vinyl protectant afterwards on the hoses.. see the following: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?threadid=1669&highlight=engine+clean

Who's truck going nose down in the mud/water hole ?? Did they actually go through it or was that a pose for the camera ? Either way looked cool !!

It didnt look so deep, but then the front dropped right off. steadied her through but in the next pic you can see I came out at the 10oclock... needless to say I had to clean my truck AND my shorts afterwards.

This was at the Iron Range Off Highway Park about 60 miles north of Duluth. Im heading up to that area again next weekend for some camping, but most likely wont have time to visit the park.

On a seperate note (should create a new thread?), my wife and I (possibly a few others) are thinking about taking a long weekend and heading to the U.P. this summer. None of us have ever been. This would be a relaxing trip(camping/hiking/fishing). Any recommendations regarding the different counties, camping, points of interest, trails/loops (fairly easy ones, I'm a noob to 4-Lo )? know of any sites that provide maps?

If you would like to start a new thread to plan a trip that would be cool. There are alot of areas to go. Last year we (my wife and our daughter) stayed a week in Alger county near Munising. We had a blast for almost the whole week we saw almost no black top just logging roads and trails. Lots of small out of the way camp grounds. There are even touristy things to do like shipwreck tours and lighthouses to see. Laughing Whitefish Point is where the shipwrech museum is with the bell from the Edmunds Fitzgerald(?). I will get with my wife to refresh my memory and get back with you with more info. She also works for the state of MI at the tourist information center in Ironwood. She is a great asset to have.
