I based the weight in the gen4 4runner available bumpers, which is the sub forum you posted in. A quick search of gen4 bumpers would have yielded you similar information instead of claiming FJ weights... The gen4 gets porky bumpers.

I think this GB will apply better to the other sub forums where the kit is actually available and beyond the concept stage of development.

Fair enough. Thank you for your input. I was simply basing the weight off of his other bumpers which seem to be on par with others. The 4th gen may weigh more when it is finished. Again, it IS in the concept stage so exact specs do not exist. Again, my only intention here was to let you guys know that a new product is on the way from this guy and that we are trying to set up a group buy that you may be interested in once it is compelete.

I posted a while back and included a craigslist ad for some of his other bumpers. He does good work and I have talked to him about using my rig as the template for the 4th gen, I just couldn't foot the $$$$ he wanted for a fully welded one and be missing my 4runner for 2 weeks. Plus I kinda wanted to weld it myself...

Has he considered offering the welding service? If not, how much would this run us if we were to take it somewhere? thats like 15ft+ of welds
