I'm not really sure yet, i know i want to get DuraTrac tires sometime in the near future and paint the rims. I dont think i will be lifting it or anything to major, mostly some simple mods for my rig.

Edit: changed my mind on the whole not lifting thing! I GOTTA LIFT IT

EEK! 405 Motors license plate frames... I swore that place was a scam shop when I was shopping for my 4Runner.

If you don't mind, could you PM me the VIN on your 4Runner? I'd like to do some investigating.

I actually got a pretty good deal on my 4runner from them that i was happy with! But yeah i need to change those and get some WSU cougars license plate frames!! :jump:

what do you need to investigate? haha

for the last few years they have been posting numerous 4runenrs with just crazy prices and miles and ect ect ect ect, a whole slew of things, i kept wanting to check some of them out but avioded that place like the pluage due to some of the reports we got about them here and some of the types of things they were posting for sale. like said above me, most of us thought they were scammers, lol, would like to be able to find out otherwise, lol

I don't think they're scammers as much as they just know how to take advantage of people who key in too much on low mileage and the fact that Toyotas carry a premium here. They'll get low mileage Runners from NYC and surrounding areas (because they often drive them less than others) for a good price and then turn around and mark them up a ton all while pushing those low miles. I personally think it's one step up from rolling back the odometer, but that's just my opinion.

That being said, a broken clock is right twice a day. I keep an eye out on their inventory and they definitely do get a Runner here and there from either a local person or from other non-rust areas.
 
yeah i got my 4runner from a local trade in, with no rust to 405 motors for a deal i was very happy with! I also got it checked out by a mechanic, all was well, just a few things that needed fixing.

From one coug to another, if you get the license plates, you should also get a window sticker. I bought mine 1 year before I even got my T4R haha
 
Enough sticker tech, what lift have you considered going with? You can lift it for pretty cheap honestly and put it on 33's the only big cost will be tires.

Im going with the BOSS Toytec lift this summer when I get enough cash! And yeah i want to get 33 inch Duratracs once i lift it. I'm just unsure if they will rub or not with the 3 inch lift

Wow, first runner on this forums that looks almost identical to mine! Well mine used to look like that haha.

Definitely need to lift that puppy!
