New drier showed up today, waiting on condenser to show up. Should be here Saturday. In the mean time I fabbed up some brackets to hold the trans cooler.

I'm assuming it's front the flexing but I seem to have ripped the external trans cooler off the condenser. I used those radiator zip ties that came with the cooler. Put 2 big holes in the condenser, radiator seems to be fine and leak free. Ordered a new condenser and drier. Should be in later this week.

What do you think caused this? Many members, including me, run a similar cooler setup and this is the 1st time I've seen this happen.

I honestly have no idea. I can't imagine the flex of the suspension doing that. I have mine zip tied to the front frame rail, then through the hole in the radiator support like everyone else.

Love the look you have going so far. I really like what SCS is doing for the toyota wheel market, just wish they had something like your set with out the outer ring.
The blue looks great by the way. During my search for a 3rd gen it seems like 9/10 4runners i come across are silver!!! I cant believe the ratio of silver to all other colors.

This is how you had it? Zip tied through the front frame rail and rad support? Trying to picture that. Mine is only zip tied through the condenser only. Some others went through the condenser and the radiator. When the suspension flexes, all that stuff moves together. If it didn't, we all would be tearing up all kinds of stuff.

I had the hoses running to the trans cooler zip tied to the front frame rail to prevent it from hitting the drive belts or anything. The trans cooler itself was secured via the radiator zip ties that ran through both the radiator and condenser

Well, a hour job has turned into a royal pain in my ass now. Both the send and return lines going into the old condenser have snapped off from being old and original. Now have to take the bumper off to drill the bottom line bolt out.

Ok great fab company right around the corner from my work is custom designing a plate bumper for me. RLC Fabrication here in Louisville, KY. Texted me this morning saying the center section is tacked together and needs me to remove the front bumper and drop it off to him so he can mount the center section up and design the ends. Super pumped about this.

Went over to check out the progress and he's kicking some serious ass. Made a couple small changes here and there. There's going to be a flush mount LED pod in the square portion on the side, and I'll probably add a small amber then signal further out on the wing.

Bumper is nearly completed. Has to add the hoop and the cut outs for the amber turn signals. Picking it up this evening and then it's off to the powdercoater. Super excited to get it back, get the lights and winch mounted up and all wired.

Can't thank RLC Welding for the custom plate bumper. Such a great company to deal with. Easy to communicate with, turn around time was phenomenal and the work is above anything else I've seen. He said he would definitely make more of these if anyone is interested.
Quick mock up of everything before it gets powdercoated. Need to order flush mount LEDs now.
