Not a 4R, but an Sweet 1968 FJ ... for $215,000!!

I was cruising through the inventory at CharlesMaundToyota.com (where I bought my 4R) and happened upon this...

1968 Toyota FJ44 for $215,000 / LOW miles

There's obviously been a lot of love and money that's gone into this ride. It looks like it's got updated seats, restraints, suspension, etc. Too bad I don't have an extra $215k floating around.

While I love my 4R, I think it'd be a LOT of fun to go wheeling in this FJ!

1Engineer is right, they pretty much dissect the entire donor frame/vehicle (they use original FJ Frames/Vehicles) down to scrap metal and rebuild it from the ground up. They rebuild the frame and everything, it is worth the money and their quality is amazing.

They used to rebuild frames, now they build complete new frames.

Icon definitely does a top notch job. But I still consider these types of builds as "boutique 4x4". I don't think anyone in their right mind would actually wheel something that expensive. It would however be nice to have.

If I were of the means to be able to afford one of those for a toy, I would wheel the hell out of it.

If I had the money to spend, I would too. I'd buy two of them. One to beat on and one to just cruise around in. I'd also have a Pagani Zonda, Bugatti Veyron and a Lamborghini Aventador. Wheeling a 45k truck compared to a 215k is quite a difference.

It's a ICON. That is all you have to say right there. They are BA. I'm a Ford fan also and the Bronco they built was just amazing. Same with the old Merc's also.

There shop is up in the San Fernando Valley just north of LA. Check it out if you ever find your self out in the LA area. They are cool dudes there.

We (OU) played Texas Tech this weekend and I pulled up next to one of these at a stop light before the game and I was like :wow: oh my god. Neither me nor my buddy could figure out what it was I thought it was just a hell of a rebuild, but now that I looked at their website it had to be one of these. it was just way too clean and I know it 1. was this exact color 2. had the same roof rack 3. had the same badass side ladder and 4. it didn't have a toyota emblem. I was so confused, I almost got into a wreck haha. maybe just a coincidence but I'm almost 100% sure...these things are freakin sweet
