Not getting fuel

1998 V6 4x4

The fuel pump turns on but it won't start. I have sprayed a shot of ether in the intake to confirm that it is in time and has spark. I have confirmed that the pump is getting power and turning on. However, it isn't supplying fuel obviously.

Two things I believe could cause this:
1) The injectors are not getting the signal to pop on, ECM issue.
2) The pump is not supplying the correct amount of pressure.

The vehicle probably has the original fuel filter on it and it has about 170k miles, could this be the issue? I am inclined to think not because it just stopped running all of a sudden.

Have you done anything to the rig lately? I know in my excitement sometimes I forget to hook some stuff up before I see if it'll run. Did this twice while doing my 63 swap. Forgot to plug the damn pump back in...... :bash::shrug:

Does it have gas? I only ask because my '99 taco guage went bad one day. Said I had 1/4 when I had nothing. Took the fuel filter off, got a new fuel pump, the whole 9, and it turned out to be out of gas....

Check fuzes. Both under the hood and in the cab on the drivers side, right by your left knee.

Ensure pump is sending fuel. Disconnect the line from the filter, and turn it to IGN. The pump will spray fuel out of the line if it's good.

Take the filter off and make sure it's not blocked. Spray that biznich with some PB Blaster to loosen the nuts. Let it sit for a little while. Probably a good time to get to the lines and make sure they're not blocked either.

Go to the injectors, fuel rail, everything that's right there.

Lastly, check the ECU.

Out of gas is actually a good call, i've had my gauge get wonky a couple of times and say I had half a tank when indeed I was out as verified by the sputtering and dying. lol
