Not happy with EagleOne NanoWax

So I wanted to change from the ol Meguiars Gold Class, to something different, preferably synthetic. I was debating between The one I have (Eagle1 NW) and Meguiars NXT. I decided to try something different and just wasn't satisfied. It went on and off easy, and left no residue. It shines nice, smooth, and sorta deep, but its the wet weather characteristics. It seems to leave water spots when it rains now, and when washing it, it leaves water stains where i didn't dry it soon enough. Needless to say I'm through with it. I don't recommend this to anyone. But now I am debating between ICE and the NXT, which one do yo think is better?

Haven't tried it yet, but I would go with NXT given my current experience with Meguiars' products. I've used Turtle in the past and it didn't last very long, thus my hestitation to try ICE.

yeah that stuff is crap... good thing i didnt actually pay for it. i was able to get it for free through the rebate when it first came out.

if you really want the best and long lasting shine for you 4runner i highly recommend using zaino brothers products. i first tried out their polish and saw how amazing it was, so i recently bought the ultimate kit. it is a bit pricey, but the polish lasts a long time and i dont think theres anything better on the market.

Oh i totally agree, Zaino products are da bomb, but just dont have the money for it. lol. I just bought some NXT stuff and plan to use it once this freakin rain dies already. IM TIRED OF IT!!!! BLAH!! Anyways I hope that NXT is better. Also, I'm in dire help of washing process. I just can't seem to get it right. What do you guys do?

Bucket, sponge, hose.....not sure what you need to know......:biggrin2:

Seriously, use either a wool or microfiber wash mit, don't use a regular sponge or brush. Keep it in the shade and keep the paint wet until you are ready to fully dry. Use a little amount of soap in your bucket, you just want enough to lightly clean the paint, you mainly want fresh clean water.

For drying I like to use a water blade and large microfiber towels. Use the blade to remove large portions of water, then use the towel to remove the left over water.

That's about all I can think of.....

Yea, I'm doing everything right then. But heres the thing, I HAVE NO SHADE!!! I parked the boat under our canopy the other day, so thats not an option
maybe in the garage?

I'm getting ready to try the new ICE claybar liquid and then I have some of that new Meguire's synthetic polish that'll go on over that and then I'll use good 'ol carnuba wax to seal it all in.

I actually bought this one to try it out, unfortunately i haven't done used it yet maybe over the weekend i'll let you guys know how this works...

For now i'm just using ice or meguiars for some quick detail after a wash

I get water spots too so i clean around 6pm, i have to wax mine asap

Mother's Carnuba Wax FTW. Meguiars Gold Class is my other wax of choice. 3M has a nice swirl mark remover too. When I do paint work and color sand with 1000, then 2000, I polish with 3M Perfect It III, 3M Swirl Mark Remover, I finish it off with some Mother's Carnuba Wax. Surface is so smooth glass turns green with envy. I have a car I'm going to paint in the next couple or so months so there'll be a few pics of the process for ya's. :bigok:

nano was is trash...used it on my 2003 BMW M3 and it was not only difficult to apply but also remove (even in the shade). I was not happy with the longevity of the finish once it was on there. Eventually i just threw out the rest of the bottle.

Mothers and Meguiars have always been good to me. Right now im in love with Mother's Reflections wax. Easiest to apply and remove i have ever used. Fantastic on well maintained paint. Little to no abbrassives to clean up clearcoat/paint.
