To answer your question that is not a trail. If you get on KSL there are plenty examples of actual trails.

Thought so. There's alot of misnamed trucks for sale as Trails. Is there a Trail trim package that's not the Trail Edition or do sellers just want to click bait you into viewing their 4runner?

Wrong rims, wrong tray, no crawl control, wrong bumper. Definitely not a trail. In terms of why someone would label a base as a trail? Easy, more money. If you don't know own well enough, maybe you buy it.

That's an SR5 with the Premium option of that era. Note the leather, sunroof, and backup radar in the rear bumper. It's had the fender trim painted, and the fog bezels changed/painted. Sliding tray was an option. Not trail headlights.

It even has the SR5 logos on the C pillars.

Dealer obviously knows zippo about 4Rs. (EDIT: Or he's trying to fool someone).
It appears in decent condition.

it looks like it could be a brake controller, and considering there is wiring run and you get a pigtail from toyota you'd have to be a special kind of stupid to **** it up. It looks like they didn't want to screw into trim to they dangled it there off that zip tie.

There are also a few misnamed Trails out there. I got a great deal on a lightly used Trail that a local Honda dealership was selling as an sr5.
