alright...I'm doing a research on "is anorexia a slow suicide?" When anorexia is leading to other disorders, mental or physical that lead to death. If you have a specific publication(s), sites (not the general stuff from all over the web), data base, could you kindly point me in the right direction. Thanks for help.

IMHO... When diagnosed the first thing the doctor would ask is if it's inherited from parents or grandparents? What i have seen is: some people especially females want to go on some type of diet so they can be sexy then lead to being anorexic not to include having ulcer, malnutrition, etc. Some inmates use the "Hunger Strike" so they can be transfered to a hospital and use that as some type of their freedom. One time i heard a co-worker's friend has to use marijuana so she can eat. I don't know if this answers your question but just what i have seen in real life.
