But what is the top speed of the V-8 or V-6 on a flat level surface? Faster than 130MPH? It seems most all Toyota speedos end at 110 MPH. The fastest I've ever gone is 90MPH and I still had lots of pedal travel left. I have a V-8 06 4 runner SR5. I traded my 04 with a V-6 in for the 06 with a V-8. Off the line I don't notice that much of a difference but then again I am not a lead foot either

I haven't personnally tried it, but from what I have read hear and other sites, the 4th gens have some type of governor circuit in the ECU. It shuts you down just over 100 mph, as I recall.

I know for a fact that the 2005 V8 can do 110mph. Not sure if it cuts out after that or not.....

I think the V8 can go over 110 if it didnt have a governer, butthen againim just guessing.

116 is good enough for me in an SUV. I have a garmin quest and love it so much I just bought my GF one that is so nice I wish I had it. LOL Garmin rocks.

I just ordered a Garmin waterproof model. 76CXS is the model. It is a new model around $400, I'm sure it does more than I will ever need. Never owned a hand held GPS before. Hopefully when we go snowmobiling for the first time this year we won't get lost. You liked the Garmin so I just ordered it from pricegrabber. I know nothing about GPS units.

I use it on my motorcycle. It's worth it's weight in gold! I'd get people upset if they seen the top speed for the bike. Lets see, 90 out of first, 120 out of second, 150 out of third and 3 more gears. After shifting into 3rd at 120+ mph the front wheel will settle down on the ground and then life begins! :dancin:

I have a Yamaha R1, my guess is you do too, or its a Hayabusa, or a GX1000. I bought it in 2006. It never ceases to be funny the guy on the Harley that thinks his pig is fast. LOL a small vibrating spec in the rear view.

The distance the gas pedal can move has no correlation to the speed of the vehicle.

I have a ZX12 with some work (181-RWHP). I was ready to upgrade to the 14 but I heard the Hayabusa is getting more power so I held off. In the meantime I ordered an 07 - IS350. After Suzuki shows their hand I will upgrade the bike.
