Now considering '18 Limited 4WD but...

Cannot say for sure about Canadian models but my 2017 did not come with running boards. As of a couple of weeks ago it has a set of Off Road 17" wheels with KO2's and also a set of Off Road rocker panels. Looks a bit different with the lower front bumper of the LE but I suspect there will be a Pelfrey built on there before too long.

Mine also did not come with running boards. I'm also getting a new set of wheels and ridge grapplers installed on mine next week. I'm still considering the pelfrey built as I lost a portion of bumper off offroad a while back, but the part thats missing actually doesnt look bad... it got broken off just above the chrome trim on the outer edge of the lower valence on the driver side. You don't really notice it unless you are looking for it--my wife didnt notice it until i pointed out that I may need a replacement bumper. I'll probably just end up trimming the other edge to match instead of dropping 2500 on an aluminum bumper.

Limited

'18 Limited with Lift/leveling, 17" Fuel Wheels and Toyo Open Country A/T tires, predator steps. Only thing I'm finding challenging is a new front end bumper. Nobody fabs one with recovery points/winch yet.

It's actually stock, my driveway is sloped so I think it's giving the impression it sits level. I'll probably add spacers though later on just for looks.

The only thing I like about the Limited is the leather seats and the stereo upgrade. The valance all around the vehicle is lower by a couple of inches which reduces ground clearance. If you want to add rock sliders to protect the door panels and rocker panels you have to cut off that valance on the sides........

Metaltech has bolt on sliders that fit Limited rocker panels without issues. Have them myself.

Take it from someone that had a SR5 and a Limited.. go with the Limited.

Also, every other soccer mom on the road now has black wheels. :flamethrwoer2: Time to bring back the machined look! It really does play down the gobs of chrome on the limited.

Personally, I don't like the way the TRD wheels look on 4Runners with the Limited trim. Just doesn't look right to me, especially with those big, heavy running boards. But, different strokes.

As others have stated, maybe a TRD ORP? Then swap for TRD wheels later?

FN Wheels makes FX Pro wheels which are "very similar" to TRD wheels but are 8" wide for better fitment of wider tires and has correct offset where spacers are not needed.

I have a TRD ORP If i could do it again I would strongly consider getting a blizzard pearl limited, this is in my opinion one of the best looking 4runners I have seen. I wouldn't do the Pro just because the stock suspension is all gonna go at some point.

Is it possible to add a 3rd row seat to an Off-Road Premium? I have an occasional need for 3rd row (1-seat) and without the sliding cargo thing it seems like it should be possible. Can I buy a 3rd row and install it myself or would it interfere with ORP suspension, etc.?

I think your better off buying one that has a 3rd row and adding suspension to it. I seen a few threads where people added 3rd room and its a lot of work. You need the seats and all the paneling but the vehicle itself is missing all the 3rd row safety features.
