Got them tinted last weekend but didn't have a chance to take some pics. Got 20% and it looks just a bit darker but really have to look closely to notice it.

I think it looks right that way and I really don't get why the front door windows are so light from the factory. I have to do this too. It looks great!
 
It's legal up in the NorthWest. Just curious about the cost, since I may be calling about it soon. Ex-Cali, real surprised to see so many tinted up here.
 
I know this is starting get somewhat off topic, but what happens if a particular mod, in this case a window tint, is legal in one region (where you live) and you decide to take a road trip? Are you OK if your vehicle is legal in the durastiction where it is registered or what?

Technically you can get a ticket, but it usually doesn't happen. Since it just needs to be signed off (at least window tint), I bet an officer from you home state would just sign it off without requiring you to take it off.

The vehicle has to be legal in the state it is currently driving in.

Thank you fore-runner and I am not sure what type they put on ...couldn't stay and wait so I just picked it up after work....I can check on the receipt if I can find it... or ask them.
 
of u are in another state and u get a ticket just dont take it off. its not like u have to peel it off on the spot. and JAC did u do all windows 20%???
 
Just so you guys are aware, in New York a police officer is not supposed to cite a out of state vehicle for equipment violations unless he can show that the violation would stand in that vehicles home state.

I don't know what state you guys are saying can write a ticket for equipment violations on out of state vehicles but I think its ridiculous if its true because the variations in laws throughout the country is not the drivers/owners fault.

And just so you guys don't think I am pulling this out of my a** I am a police officer in New York.
 
When i first got in Colorado, got settled in, and on my way to DMV; i got pulled over originally for tinted windows. The officer told me that my tinted windows are mirrored asked for dl, reg and ins. He walked back to his patrol vehicle then later another patrol vehicle showed up. :wow: So he got back and asked me why i have a registered car in Nevada, a California driver's license, and i live in Colorado? I told him that i am a California resident and on my way to Colorado, my former car broke down in Nevada. So i got it fixed and traded that in and that's how i got Nevada plates and that I'm on my way to the DMV to staighten everything up.
