Now the rear lift gate motor

OK, so how about the rear lift gate motor sounding like a coffee grinder?

I poped the lift gate and it made this bad grinding sound. I the pulled my stuff out, closed the gate and it sounded like it was grinding even louder. (Repeated this twice) I checked to see if the gate was blocked, and it was not.

Thoughts?

PS: How many total parts does it take to fall off to get to the center of a 2003 Toyota 4Runner?

I would think that with a 2003 you would still be well within the 36K, obviously 3 year, warranty area. Take it to the dealer and let them fix it for free!
