[Noynumal]

So it all started with a 2000 Limited that I bought used with 125k miles on it...

After scraping off the terrible pinstriping it came with I removed the running boards.

Then put on some OME 881s and 906s

There is a Tire Factory next door to the car wash I manage and their manager's wife disliked the 265/75r16 Nokian ATs that he had put on her Landcruiser so I agreed to trade him my street tires for these. I rocked these with the 881s and 906s for about a year and we had some good times.

Along the way I suffered the pink milkshake of death because like an idiot I put off installing a tranny cooler. Thankfully I found a used tranny with only 70k miles on it for $500 and have a good friend who is a mechanic so I came out only spending $1200 for a new torque converter, used tranny, new radiator, and install. The worst part of the whole thing was spending the money i'd been saving for a bigger lift :sobbing:Shortly thereafter I had all my belts and water pump done to avoid any further mishaps.

After recovering financially I picked up a set of OME 890s for the rear as I wanted a raked look, some Spidertrax wheel spacers, and decided to paint my wheels black.

I liked the wheels so much I decided to paint my grill as well. I also got my front windows tinted to 20% and picked up some clear corner lights on ebay.

After driving like this for about three days I decided it was time to get some bigger tires so I picked up a 1.5" body lift from 4crawler. Installation was much easier than I thought it would be!

My rotors were starting to wobble and since I was buying new tires I figured might as well do the brakes at the same time so I picked up the parts for the Tundra 231mm upgrade and ordered a set of 285/75r16 Duratracs. Again being friends with the Tire Factory manager next door to my work was a huge benefit and I got my tires and brakes installed today at no labor cost :zoom:

So that's where I stand today. Next up... Badlands front bumper and rock sliders :tongue:

Lol. I just noticed you're in Kirkland. You don't by chance live by the Houghton area?

Noticed the 285s rub a bit since I only have 881s up front so I blew utilized the rest of my tax return and ordered some Toytec coilovers to bring the front up to match the rear. I kinda liked the rake but I like my tires not rubbing more . They should ride a little smoother than the OME set up I have now as well which is noticeably stiffer with the 285s.

I drive by there for sure. I go to Marymoor all the time to take the mutt to the dog park. I ask because my GF lives in the Houghton area and there's a silver Limited on black wheels in the complex next to hers. Thought that might be you.

And sounds like I might have a clone soon! You'll love the bumper. It's a tank.

More parts

Since I already ordered Toytec coilovers for the front I spent the day convincing myself to order Bilstein 5125s for the rear along with extended brake lines and an adjustable panhard bar. Now the only question left is whether or not to jump up to LC coils in the back

From all of my lift research (haven't installed mine yet), the LC coils are the way to go. I don't think you needed the extended brake lines, but oh well.

Cheap insurance. Plus if and when I go to LC coils its out of the way.

After putting it off for prob too long I replaced my cv axles for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. May they live long and prosper.
