Toytec Coilovers

My Toytec coilovers got delivered today and thankfully I caught an hour of sunshine between snow/rain after work. Took me and a buddy less than an hour to get them installed. Love the look and love the ride! Completely eliminated the tires rubbing and rides waaay smoother than the 881 w OME shocks combo I was runnin. Can't wait to get my Bilsteins in the rear! Definitely need to pick up some LC coils to get my rake back though :) Started raining right as we finished but I managed to sneak in a couple pics.

Looks good dude! I know there were a set of LC coils on local craigslist last time I looked. Props for actually going out in the weather today, I scrapped my plans to mess with my front end when it started sideways rain/snow.

Thanks man. Your grill is lookin good by the way. And someone must have snagged those LC coils cause they're no longer listed :( However, I ordered some 8.5 wraps from cruiserparts.net so good to go!

Looks good man! Just a question..... Are you using a camera phone to take your pics?

Unfortunately yes they're lame crackberry photos. Late last summer I was playing in an outdoor 3 on 3 basketball tourney and had my backpack stolen. In it were my car keys, my wallet, my Iphone, and my camera. Had to leave the 4runner in Spokane which is completely across the state and piece together a ride back to Seattle from some friends. Long story short I've been spending all my excess $$ on my truck and haven't replaced the Iphone or camera yet. Priorities :)

Let's meet up. I'll take some good shots for ya! :reddance:

That'd be swell thanks man! I'm going to paint the weights from my new tires and install my black lugs and hopefully my LC coils (provided they show up in time) this weekend so after that I'm there
Should get PNWrunner involved and get some sweet silver runner group shots:party:

Put in my rear Bilstein 5125 shocks yesterday and while I was in there installed my Sonoran steel extended soft bump stops. Having a body lift made putting the shocks in extremely simple as I could reach through the gap and easily reach the top bolt.

<a href="http://s1061.photobucket.com/albums/t476/noynumal/?action=view&current=bodyliftshocks.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1061.photobucket.com/albums/t476/noynumal/bodyliftshocks.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The bump stops should have been easy, however, one of the bolts severed as I was loosening it which complicated things. No way that bad boy is coming out. Thankfully there are a couple extra holes in the frame where the brackets mount up so I drilled a couple holes and slapped some bolts on. Good to go! The ride is soooo much better with the Bilsteins out back.

After I wrapped up the shocks I had a little time left to paint my weights from the new tires and install my black lugs. It was getting dark but I snapped a crappy picture anyway.

Found a little mud

Met up with my dad for lunch today and on the way home we found an actual dirt road in Sammamish. Was able to thoroughly test the new shocks and bump stops by headin a bit off the beaten path and couldn't be happier with them. Nice to get a little mud on the truck too! Love livin in Seattle but wish we had some dirt a little closer.

9 wraps

My LC coils finally came in the mail today. Had asked for 8 or 8.5 wraps but according to the color code and a measuring tape they sent the 21" 9.25 wraps (shucks a little extra lift :thumb3:). Gonna try to get these and my extended brake lines in and then put in my diff drop and crank up the Toytec coilovers a bit on Friday after work. Can't wait!

Nice dude! Let me know if you want help throwing any of that "pending install" stuff on there. Def want to get that panhard bar on before those 9 wraps

Got my 9 wraps and panhard bar installed this weekend. The 9 wraps were pretty tough to get in but well worth the effort. Cranked the Toytec coilovers up quite a bit to minimize the rake and love how it came out. I also pulled the trigger on a Badland front tube bumper and some sliders. Supposed to be ready in two weeks. Can't wait!

Before adjusting the coilovers:

PNWRunner came over on Sunday so we could help each other get our extended brake lines in. Got his in no prob but the bolts on mine were pretty damn corroded so they're going to have to soak in some PB for a few days. Also cranked up his COs a bit in anticipation of his ODL bumper. Realllllly want a rear bumper after seein his in person.

Thanks man. Ha that's my roommate's I'll pass on the compliment. I always park behind the self serve wash bays so that's probably why you haven't seen it.

Drove out to Badland Bumpers in Ravensdale today to put some $$ down on my bumper and sliders. Can't wait till they're done. Got the truck a little muddy in the process and took advantage of the photo opp.

<a href="http://s1061.photobucket.com/albums/t476/noynumal/?action=view&current=Badland.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1061.photobucket.com/albums/t476/noynumal/Badland.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

When I got home I painted the top of my rear bumper, the area behind the license plate and my emblems black to match my grill/wheels. I ditched the Limited badge and rearranged the other two so I could be a little unique.
