Nut Check

Wait, people actually go to the dealer for nuts and bolts? HAHAHAHA

Sorry, but if it's not headstuds or rod bolts hardware store stuff is fine. I've ran random nuts and bolts on a track bike, drift car, and my 4runner. Never had a fastener fail in my life.

Paying $10 a bolt is just stupid.

Ok, so I took the nut from the other side along with a new washer and put it on this one. The OEM one had a few, for lack of a better word, grippers and was way more stout than the one I got at the hardware store. I put a generic washer and nut on the other side. Test drove great. One of my clunks is gone I'll replace them with OEM junkyard parts next week...I can't believe I didn't think about the junkyard first thing....

Soooo the OEM nut and ace washer fell off and the bolt had jiggled about halfway out. Got it and replaced it with the hardware store nut/washer. I put blue locktite on both sides this time...

I had to replace this same nut a few months back when I put the lift on. Ran to Ace and bought the Grade 8 one. so far so good. overkill probably but worth my peace of mind. It was also on a Sunday and the Dealer was Closed. Either way I would have went to Ace anyway!

Looking closer I was wrong. I replaced the Panhard bar bolt. Would have done the same for this one though!
